Download this if you want your kid/students to be profited off of! (Once I took 1 hour to complete just 1 lesson!) Dreambox is just a lying company luring parents/teachers that want to teach their child/students math just to bring the kid down and profit of of their suffering. And when you do get a problem correct, it gives you a tiny slice of the lesson, meaning that you have to do these terrible problems over and over again until you make it to the end. The problem is explained in a way that you can almost never truly get the subject and problem. The ONLY fun part are the 30 second long minigames that rarely appear in between lessons. Also, the program is LAZY, when a kid gets too many questions wrong, it doesn't even BOTHER to explain their mistakes, instead, it just gives up and gives the child SUPER EASY QUESTIONS, or, it just gives away the answer without any explanation. For example 'Oops! The correct answer was 2.030, not 2.03. Also some of the problems seem to be based entirely off of LUCK and it seems to have no logic. When you get a question wrong, it rants on for 2 minutes stating obvious things like 'Remember to choose the answer with the least amount of steps.' and other obvious details and it DOESN'T CHANGE. This program is BARELY educational and doesn't even ATTEMPT to teach you anything. However, it makes everyone, even parents HATE math. it is not a dream, but a nightmare.ĭreambox advertises itself as a fun and easy to use program to make students love math. Thank you for listening to my rant about dreambox learning math.

In the shapes lesson you can click impossible 10 times before it just gives up and gives you a free lesson. The hints are basically the same thing as when you get things wrong: it reads you the problem, underlines it, and then does nothing.ħ. Whenever you get a question wrong, dreambox does this unnecessarily long show of showing a "oops" card, me losing experience, and then the monotone cheap text-to-speech saying "hints" that is basically reading the obvious, before underlining the problem again for no reason, and THEN it lets me correct my one mistake that it did not help me get at all.Ħ. I once "played" with my earbuds on, and all the unnecessary noises practically made my ears bleed.ĥ. However, as I advance, the lessons start getting hard to the point that they make no sense.Ĥ. Even though my teachers stat that I'm a teen, they start me off with addition and subtraction.ģ. Dreambox says it's for all ages, but the "characters" on the title screen look like something out of a cartoon made for 2 year olds. I don't know why this processing speed is so low.Ģ. Whenever I log on, my computer slows down and the battery drains at triple the speed.
